Smoked Bluefish Pate

2 TBS finely chopped shallots
2 TBS fresh lemon juice
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 lb smoked bluefish or smoked trout, skin discarded and fish chopped
3 TBS finely chopped fresh chives
Toast or crackers

Stir together shallot, lemon juice and 1/4 tsp salt.
Beat in cream cheese, bluefish and 1/2 tsp of pepper with a spoon until combined.
Stir in chives.
Serve with toast or crackers.
Makes 1 1/2 cups.
