Poor Girls' Open 2009 Part 1Part one of the 16th Annual Capt. Steve Harman's Poor Girls' Open held at Bahia Marina in Ocean City, MD. The tournament took place on August 13 - 15, and $46,000 was donated to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research.

White Marlin Open 2009: 1,062 lb. Blue MarlinOn August 5, 2009 during the world renowned White Marlin Open tournament, Ocean City saw its first ever grander blue marlin. Angler Bob Farris on the "No Problem" landed the 1,062 lb. fish after a 3 hour and 5 minute fight. The fish replaced the previous Maryland State Record of 942 lbs., which was caught by the "Memory Maker", captained by Marty Moran, in 1989.

On the Docks: First White and Blue MarlinThe first white marlin and the first blue marlin of Ocean City, MD were both caught on June 10, 2009. Terry Layton, fishing with Jim Hughes on the "Nontypical", reeled in the first white, while Jake Burger fought the first blue under the direction of Capt. Marty Moran of the "Marlin Magic".
