2017 Black Sea Bass Regulations Finalized

2017 Recreational Black Sea Bass Fishery — March through December

The Secretary of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, in response to the action taken for black sea bass by the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission and the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council, pursuant to the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) 08.02.05.21A and F, announces the season, catch limit, and minimum size for the recreational black sea bass fishery for 2017, effective 12:01 a.m. March 2, 2017.

The season is open May 15, 2017 through September 21, 2017 and October 22, 2017 through December 31, 2017. The season is closed all other dates in 2017.

Anglers may keep up to 15 black sea bass per person per day.

The minimum size is 12.5 inches.
